The Joey Kidd track is good. I miss the old Ligget-Barbosa style (George LaMond, etc.). The Freeze track is also not bad. I would have tried to get more dimension out of the vocal—maybe a double, some layers, or splitting parts into different tonal areas, then tightening things up. But compared to a lot of Freestyle that's come out since 2004 (and that was not produced by Carlos Berrios), these are on good technical footing for a change. I wish the mixes didn't sound like they were under a pillow. Maybe that's just how they were ripped?

haven't the slightest about the ripping... the track's aren't too shabby, i'm just being biased because i've always preferred female vocals over the guys

Not bad!. I too prefer the Joey Kidd track and although it does sound like a good song, and I also like the production compared to many other Freestyle songs that are "New School". That being said also kinda feel like its missing a strong punch with production. I'm not sure, but maybe it I can hear this song being a little more aggressive or faster?

ooooooooooooooooooooh YUM!! Ok I'm loving Tonight by Joey Kidd!! YUMMMMM!! I Love that song lots!!! The new song by Freeze would be like 1 of those those I liike upon hearin & like more the more I hear it! LOLOLOLMAO.. ooh btw.. lol... she didn't really get mad at me, but like when they started posting that song by Freeze on fb... that vid link & the image of well... 2 people were kissing.. I mean.. it's a really small image icon pix to see & I commented that it looked like 2 guys kissing & if it was, biggups to freeze for including aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall his fans, whatever... then his wife got back to me & said "Osby, that's me & Freeze kissing, not 2 guys"... lol!!!

But I didn't listen to the song off fb 'cause it just makes my comp go even that much more slower for some reason when I click hyperlinks off fb, dunno why.

Grrrr... I need that new Joey Kidd song though... man.. his vocals got reeeeeeeeeeeeally stronger!! YUM!!

Hmmm.. Jaya, yes. But I think Kuya would count as the last, since that was the final track we recorded for the compilation.

Heh. That's a whole lot of work to make very little return. Besides, the album format is gone with the 20th century. It has no practical purpose anymore. Expect the compilation to go away as well.

But a good priced Comp on itunes or Amazon can still get songs from various artists or maybe include some un released single tracks.. no?? How about a EP or a single?

I would have to agree with Daniel regarding 'Tonight.' I like it enough to add it to my wish list (still unemployed, ha ha) but it's definitely missing "something." I really wish however that the song didn't recycle the beats and certain elements from "Here We Are." While not a standout song, it's still better than most "new school" that's been recently released.

The only thing I like about 'Greatest Love' are the modal progressions during the song's hook but the whole thing sounds muddy.

I agree with some earlier posts that overall Tonight is a great track, but sounds muffled at times and lacks a certain punch. I never liked any of Joey's earlier work that was released prior to See You In My Dreams because his vocals were weak in my opinion. These last two tracks of his are a complete 180 degree turn for the better and I hope that he keeps it coming. I felt the same way about Joe Zangie prior to the release of his Timeline album. I do miss that Ligosa sound...
